Trustee Training: Programme Information
Forthcoming cohort: November 2024 – January 2025
Trustee Training is a vital part of supporting trustees who serve on the governing bodies of schools, NGOs, charitable organisations, and public bodies. While board professional development is consistently identified as a key best practice in governance, too often it is assumed that trustees are able to carry out significant duties (frequently on a voluntary basis) without this type of support. It is no surprise that, without ongoing training, trustees often struggle to form effective partnerships, and the impact of this on organisational governance can be profound.
Holono-Me’s Trustee Training seeks to help every trustee, in every organisation, to:
- Understand their roles and responsibilities
- Feel confident building enduring partnerships with the people they serve
- Be equipped to ensure mission integrity
The programme takes place online, in three interactive 2-hour sessions over a three-month period, making it easy for busy trustees to participate. Trustees form part of a community of participants whose experience sharing paves the way for deeper understanding of the Holono-Me Principles of Partnership© that underpin effective, mission-aligned governance.
